• Inclement Weather Alert

Update as of January 23, 2026

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Governor Moore has declared a State of Preparedness due to the forecast of heavy snow late Saturday and Sunday. Please check our inclement weather policy on our website.

NEW UPDATE WORSHIP

WORSHIP THIS SATURDAY

ADDITONAL HOLY MASS AT 3 PM AT ST. AUGUSTINE

I strongly recommend that you come to Mass at 4 pm this Saturday, January 24 at Ascension Church (confessions are at 3:15 pm) or 3 pm or 5 pm at St. Augustine (confessions are at 4:15 pm).

I have added a 3pm Holy Mass for this Saturday only at St. Augustine church. Please let others know.

NEW UPDATE – NO SUNDAY EVENTS AT CCASTA CAMPUSES:

I have cancelled Holy Masses on Sunday, January 25th as well as JAM and Sacramental prep .

The current forecast is calling for heavy snow on Sunday morning into the afternoon followed by ice. The state’s alert warns, “Hazardous conditions expected; avoid travel.”

The 5 pm Mass at St. Augustine will be live-streamed and will be “on-demand” through our website and Facebook pages all weekend.

Events For the Upcoming Week:

CCASTA follows Baltimore County Public Schools and Howard County Public schools for closings.

If either is closed, both offices will be closed and daily Mass is canceled. If either opens on a 2-hour delay, daily Mass is canceled and the offices will open at 11:00 AM. On weekends our Mass schedule is not affected by the school systems. We will update our website homepage, our social media and send out a Flocknote.

If it is dangerous for you to travel, please stay home.

This includes assigned liturgical ministers. The state’s text alert warns, “Hazardous conditions expected; avoid travel.”

We Encourage Giving Through OnlineGiving and ParishSoft

If you are not signed up for electronic giving, consider doing that through OnlineGiving or
ParishSoft (formally Faith Direct). You can also make a one-time gift via OnlineGiving or
ParishSoft.

Let Us Pray

For the safety of those who must travel; including first-responders, healthcare personnel,
snow removal personnel, among others. Please check-in with your loved ones and
neighbors.

“Lord you establish peace for us; all you have accomplished you have done for us.” Isaiah 26:12.
