Holy Matrimony

Arrangements for the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at either church should be made with Sharon Zelnosky at (410) 796-1520 at least six months before the wedding and before any other plans are made. Diocesan regulations for the celebration of the Sacrament will be followed in the preparation for each marriage.

Certification of marriage preparation is required for Catholic weddings in all dioceses. If you are a parishioner of CCASTA, contact Sharon Zelnosky and she can put you in touch with our pastor, Fr. Dale Picarella who does preparation with couples individually.

Holy Orders

If you are interested in a religious vocation to the priesthood or the diaconate, contact Father Dale Picarella at the Ascension Parish Center at (410) 242-2292 or the St. Augustine Parish center at (410) 796-1520 to get all the information and contacts you will need. Similarly, for religious vocations to the monastery or the convent, contact Father Dale.

Anointing of the Sick

The sacrament of the sick can be ministered to anyone with an illness. The Church invites the sick to seek the Lord Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, for the healing gifts of the Spirit to enable them to actively fight against the illness. The sacrament is intended to heal, strengthen and encourage faith in the Lord. If you would like to receive this sacrament please contact the office of Ascension or St. Augustine
“By His wounds we are healed.” 1 Pt. 2:24.
IF you or a family member is hospitalized, please give the hospital explicit permission to inform the parish of your hospitalization. Federal hospital laws prevent hospitals from giving visiting clergy access to patient information without the patient’s expressed consent.

Becoming Catholic

If you are interested in Becoming Catholic or exploring how you can receive the Sacraments of Communion and/or Confirmation please contact Fr Dale Picarella at [email protected]

We will be glad to help you continue your journey to full communion with the Catholic Church.
