To love God, to love others, and make disciples
Our Vision
Our vision at CCASTA is to bring people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, cultivate spiritual habits of growth, be equipped to serve the parish and discover their life mission in the world.
Our Strategy
Our strategy is to create an exceptional weekend encounter with the Lord at our masses so that people will want to take the next steps to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our weekend encounter with the Lord includes music that is engaging and connects the culture to the weekend masses; messages in the homily that are biblical driven and practical for life-change; children’s ministry that is exciting and biblically driven and an environment that is warm, welcoming and connecting people to take next steps in their growth as Christ-followers.
Our Values
Worship: at the heart is the Eucharist-centered on the Gospel, the outpouring of the Spirit and other worship gatherings that lead to a lifestyle of surrender to the Lord.
Discipleship: to develop spiritual traits of a Christ-follower to be transformed into the likeness of Christ through the word of God in Scripture and the church’s teaching.
Fellowship: to cultivate relationship rooted in prayer and the word of God that share life and faith.
Ministry: God has made each person unique to serve others according to their SHAPE.

Funerals and Columbarium
Funerals at CCASTA
The loss of a loved one can be a life changing event. At CCASTA we bring the vision of the risen Christ to times of loss. We believe that He is our resurrection and life. During this time of your loss, we want to walk with you in this journey of grief and healing. When a loss occurs in your life and family, please email Mary Hoban at mary@ccasta.org or call the office at 410-242-2292 ext. 301. She will begin the process of grief and healing with you.
The Catholic Community of Ascension and St Augustine is pleased to offer an attractive Columbarium on the St. Augustine campus.
A columbarium is a sacred ground where you can respectfully inter the ashes of those you love and want to honor. It is a beautiful place to visit and to rest. It is also a green alternative to a cemetery burial because it requires less space and fewer financial resources. On average, a columbarium interment is 65% less expensive than the average cemetery burial.
Niches are available to house urns, which come in three different styles, two per niche. We currently have niches available for your family’s planning needs
Another way to remember a loved one or commemorate a special life event is to purchase a bronze tribute plaque (see below) to be mounted on our tribute wall.
The Columbarium Wall of Remembrance is a wonderful and prayerful way to memorialize a loved one, an anniversary, or a special dedication. The Wall is located on the St. Joseph’s side of the Columbarium.
Please note all funds raised in our columbarium go exclusively to maintaining the Columbarium and our historic Cemetery. Contact the office for details on the Wall or any questions. Call 410-242-2292 ext. 301
