Liturgical Ministries

Altar Servers

Altar Servers perform a special and privileged role in the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy
by assisting the celebrant and attending to the altar.

Young people entering the fifth grade or higher are invited to receive training and serve.
They must be baptized Catholics and have received First Eucharist.

Greeters Ministry 

Do you like to meet new people?  We need you on Greeters Ministry to greet and hold the door open for parishioners and guests as they enter the church. Also to assist with any questions and hand out bulletins and flyers at the end of Mass. The only requirement to be on our greeting team is to smile and be friendly! All ages are welcome, and families are invited to greet together. We are always looking for new Greeters, so if interested please contact Darlene Ciepiela at 410-242-2292 ext. 110 or [email protected].

Lectors

Lectors are official ministers of the Mass who proclaim God’s Word during the Liturgy. Any parishioner who enjoys public speaking and reading aloud is welcome to participate in this ministry.

Ushers

Ushers at CCASTA assist in the seating of worshipers and in directing the flow of people during communion and at other times during the service.  They collect and are responsible for the offertory collection. In an emergency, ushers are responsible for contacting the appropriate authorities and if needed, to oversee the orderly evacuation of the church
