Welcome to CCASTA Registration
Volunteer Training
For All Adult Volunteers 18 and Older
Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with The Catholic Community of Ascension and St Augustine. We are grateful for your generosity to the parish. As of Nov. 1, 2017, the Archdiocese of Baltimore with all parishes and Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Baltimore are using Virtus, a compliance management system that allows the management of ALL employees and volunteers.
Church personnel, including volunteers, who have not already registered in Shield of the Vulnerable, will be required to register using VIrtus. Virtus will direct you to review the Code of Conduct for Church Personnel and A Statement of Policy for the Protection of Children and Youth. The Archdiocese of Baltimore will continue to work with Employment Screening Resources (ERS) to conduct online criminal history screening; as part of the registration process. Virtus will direct you to the ESR website where you will be asked to submit to an online criminal history screening.
